Trump-Kim Summit

The great summit is going to be held in Singapore on 12th of June this year. The most flaming news about this summit is that Mr. Trump said that if summit goes well, he will be glad to invite North Korean president Mr. Kim to the White House Washington.

Trump announced this thing after meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe while talking about the Summit.

“It’s what happens after that that is really important,” he told the press.

The US wants North Korea to give up its nuclear Weapon, but it does not seem to happen and Trump told that Mr. Kim told him personally that he is agreed with US’s policy of denuclearization.

As a result, Trump announced a happy news for North Korea to have a visit to White House. Earlier, it was thought that Trump is going to invite Korean president in his Florida retreat Mar-a-Lago. But he cleared the thing by saying: “Maybe we’ll start with the White House, what you think?”

Trump-Kim Summit:

In the past, Mr. Trump has applied the policy of exerting “maximum pressure” on North Korea. But it’s time to change the policy. He said that he did not want to use the term anymore “because we’re going into a friendly negotiation”, but he informed he had many more authorizations he could use against North Korea. He also warned that he was “totally prepared to walk” if summit does not proceed well. But if all things go right, it’s not a bad idea to invite Kim to Washington. He told the press. “I think [Kim] would look at it very favorably, so I think that could happen.”

When Trump was asked about his preparations to meet North Korean President he said: “I think I’m very well prepared. I don’t think I have to prepare very much. It’s about attitude, it’s about willingness to get things done,”

Let’s talk about the views of Japanese president Mr. Abe, who said he wanted to “directly face North Korea and talk with them so that the abduction problem can be resolved quickly”.

Mr. Abe talked about his “real peace” in the regional policy.

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met Mr. Kim in Pyongyang. Along with that Kim also visited South Korean President Moon Jae-in. Earlier, South Koran President visited Mr. Trump in Washington.

Mr. Kim also made two visits to Beijing to meet President Xi Jinping. This step of Kim indicates that China is the central player in maintaining the relationship. Now let’s wait and watch, will Mr. Kim get an invitation to the US or not?
