Jeopardy is a famous American television game show in which some contestants walk away with the prize money. But one of the Florida native contestant Michael Pascuzzi left the show with a new fiance on Thursday night.
Alex Trebek who is the host of the show returned to Jeopardy with the beard for the shows 35th anniversary.
It seems like Michael Pascuzzi; Jeopardy contestant must have learned a thing or two from the Emmys.
During the show, on Thursday night, host Alex Trebek said that he usually likes to interview the guests on the information that they provide to the producers, but Pascuzzi did not provide any.
“So what do you want to talk about”, Trebek asked Pascuzzi, who interrupted by saying, “I can fill in for you.”
The camera turned to Shafer who was smiling and waved to Trebek. Michael Pascuzzi turned to his girlfriend and asked, “Will you marry me?”
The game show did not have to cue its signature tune “Think!” after the unscripted proposal as Shafer answered instantly: “Yes, of course.”
On the other hand, Trebek response was she answered it too quickly.
He said jokingly that he was about to say that we will have the answer to this question after this commercial break, but that was quick.
The studio audience and likely all the viewers watching the game show at home collectively swooned and applauded. They created an unforgettable moment for the couple at the game show.
Pascuzzi came second in the game show but won the prize in getting his new fiancee’s heart.
