Google is going to organize its first ever demo day event in Asia on September 20. There are a lot of demo days that have been organized in the past mostly in North America and Europe. But this for the very first time that Google is going to organize a demo day on Asian land. It is a grand opportunity for the startups, who can now take part in this event. Now search giant has opened the application for all startups.
Google says that it is an ample opportunity for the startups to connect and raise capitals. Google’s DEMO DAY is derived from a version of an advanced stage startup program. It is called a Demo Day but without the months-long program leading to it.
The companies in its place, giving a chance to startups to recognize capable companies, and it continue to work with them further of the Demo Day to give Coaching, mentoring and a perfect pitch that is brought to VCs and others from Google’s entrepreneurship network, who are going to be there at Demo Day.
Apart from working closely with Google and earning Google Cloud credits, it’s an awesome opportunity for the startups to stay connected. Google also says that startups that are leaning at Demo days have raised a cumulative $259 million from the investor.

The main purpose to organize such a big event in Asia is the strategy of Google to enhance its presence in Asia and specifically in China. In past, we have seen that Google agreed to do a partnership with Tencent (Chinese multinational investment holding conglomerate specialized in internet-related services).
Google also invest in China based startups- live-streaming service Cushion and biotech-focused XtalPi and also announce an Al lab in Beijing. Moreover, Google acquired an extensive tech presence in Taiwan through the completion of its achievement of a lump of HTC. Google has opened its presence in Shenzhen that is more popular by the name of “the silicon valley of hardware”.
Google has made its first ever direct investment in Asia-based companies with the assistance of India’s on-demand service Dunzo along with Southeast Asian ride-hailing unicorn Go-Jek. On the whole, this event is going to be a treasure bag for the startups of Asia. It will increase the presence of Google in Asia, particularly in China to a large extent.
